LK Skincare Day Cream

I was kindly sent LK Skincare’s latest and first ever moisturiser to try and review, their day cream is a three-in-one anti ageing face cream that promises to make our skin look younger. It is recommended to be applied to a clean face after cleansing (of course) and can be used all over the skin and décolletage area.

The moisturiser has three key ingredients being Kigelia, Commiphora Mukul and Hyaluronic acid (which is probably the most recognisable ingredient) which eventually helps the appearance of younger looking skin and helps eliminates imperfections. The cream does retail for a staggering £50 which is a lot I agree but I guess if it’s going to help combat the signs of anti ageing then fair do’s. After doing some research and reading myself it also mentions that you should see a difference within a week - pretty big claim if you ask me.

A lot of people do tend to ask me, when is it best to start using anti ageing products? I always say once you reach the age of 25, which I am now then you can slowly start to introduce this, obviously everybody is different but for me personally I have started to add anti ageing products slowly into my routine, wether that be retinol or creams etc.

Now I have used this on a number of occasions but for me personally I just find the consistency a little too thick for me, my skin type is dry/dehydrated but I personally prefer a lighter moisturiser/gel as I feel this benefits my skin more, whereas I feel a thicker cream can tend to sit on the surface of my skin and won't full absorb - my skin for you!

I think if you are really dry or just prefer a thicker texture when it comes to moisturisers then I think you will like this, one thing I'm not a huge fan of is the smell but it definitely grows on you!

I think the packaging is cute, the moisturiser comes inside a black carboard box - very chic and effective, it also comes in a glass jar which I love and is better for the environment. for £50 you get 50ml of product so works out £1 per ml. The products are all natural and vegan friendly so again you are paying for the ingredients.

I personally I do feel the price is definitely up there with more high end products, the brand has been created by two ladies Leila an Kate who are actually daughter and mother in law which I think is so lovely and great how they have both gone into business together.

If you did want to purchase the cream you can visit LK Skincare’s Instagram or website where they offer a free sample too!
