Garnier Vs Lacura

So incase you didn’t know Aldi’s own skincare brand Lacura have taken us all by storm by coming out with great dupes of products but at amazingly low prices. I have now reviewed a few products from Lacura and have been really impressed, so when I was in there last week and saw that they were doing dupes of the infamous Garnier moisture bombs I knew I had to try and test these out.
Both brands have produced masks that are affordable, Lacura have a great deal on which is two masks (twin pack) for £1.99, Garnier sell one mask for the same price. Now straight away you can see that both packaging is relativity similar in terms of colours, size and that they are both sheet masks, but do they do the same job?
I first tried the pink mask from Lacura however both blue and pink masks claim to be intensely moisturising and refresh the skin, however one is for sensitive skin specifically (blue) and the other is for dry & sensitive (pink). I’m sure you all know by now I have tried Garnier’s masks out many of times and I certainly am such a huge fan.
Comparing both brands I would say that they are some similarities in the two, however I did notice straight away the scent was a lot more stronger in the Lacura masks, I personally prefer Garnier as the scent is a lot more soothing rather than perfumed which I felt like the Lacura ones were.
In terms of if both masks worked, you all know how much of a die hard fan I am for Garnier and nothing so far comes close in terms of price and the fact that they hydrate my skin a lot. I did feel that both masks from Lacura did hydrate my skin, however I don’t feel that they did sit as comfortably on my skin and I don’t feel like they did fit well compared to the Garnier masks which fit so well and stay in place until removed. This is something I really love and quite frankly one of the few face masks I’ve found that sit so well on my skin.
Out of the two masks from Lacura I did prefer the blue one surprisingly which is for sensitive skin, however I wasn’t a huge fan of the smell as it is very strongly fragranced, both masks come with the blue protective sheet that is to be removed once applied. One thing I will say is that after I had used the Lacura mask, I found my skin was very sticky to the point where my hair was catching on my skin, I really did not like this at all and something I’ve never experienced with a face mask before.
One other thing I did pick up on is that the Lacura masks did make my skin tingle slightly, again something which I’ve not experienced before especially from a hydrating, soothing mask anyway.
When it comes to Garnier these two masks are my all time favourites and what are very similar to the Lacura masks in terms of packaging etc. When weighing up the two it’s a no brainier for me, Garnier wins by a mile. I’m such a huge fan of these masks and don’t think any others will come close in terms of affordablity and how they hydrate my skin so well. I’m literally obsessed with these masks and always will be, they work so well for and are always on offer for £1.99, can you really say no?
Having said this I do still believe Lacura’s masks do work in terms of hydrating and for the price you get two masks, but for me personally Moisture Bomb will always have my heart❤️
Amazing work Garnier❤️
