I picked up this cleansing oil on one of my many trips to Primark a few weeks ago and I’m sure you all know I love a good cleanser, so for £2 I needed to see if it’s worth it or not.
The cleanser comes in a push down bottle which is completely normal for an oil based cleanser, as this prevents any spillages. For £2 you get 150ml of product which is amazing in itself even if the product didn’t last as long, for £2 it’s still super affordable. The formula itself very much reminds me of Super Facialist Cleansing Oil and has a similar texture, both are oils and are really thin. This formula is so light weight and very watery, to the point where you do have to be quick when I applying this to the face.
This is a great cleanser for anybody who doesn’t want to break the bank, but what I love most is that this cleanser is cheaper than some ‘make up wipes’ on the market. For anybody who knows me, knows I hate wipes as they can be so bad for taking make up off. One being is that wipes can leave a residue of alcohol behind on the skin and secondly can cause irritation and redness, if you have ever used a wipe you’ll find the skin goes slightly red afterwards which is something you want to afford at all costs. When cleansing your skin you want something that is not only going to throughly cleanse the skin but also hydrate this too.
If you are somebody who takes off their make up with a wipe I would highly advise not to and to look into purchasing this cleansing oil as a cheaper alternative but also what isn’t going to irritate the skin, especially for £2 can you really complain?
The cleanser itself is really soft and does take everything off I have found, as a cleanse-a-holic I did like this cleanser but I personally prefer a balm. Having said that I think this would be great for anyone who is new to the skincare industry or just starting out with a routine, this would work well. When using this as always I like to take a micro fibre cloth in warm water and remove, the micro fibre is great for really getting a good grip of the skin and giving a polished look.
The product can be used to first cleanse in the morning and even double cleanse during the evening, this works amazing well at removing make up, as the formula is so thin you can cover a larger area of the face and I find you use less pumps. This did remove every bit of my make up but I don’t feel this left my skin as soft as other cleansers I have tried.
Having said this I still believe that is in an extremely affordable cleanser and it does get the job done in terms of removing make up and cleaning the skin, which is what a cleanser is supposed to do right?
I think this would be perfect for anyone who is constantly on the move and needs something quick and easy to remove make up etc. Also if you are a make up artist this could come in really handy as heaven forbid if a client came to you with a full face of make up on, this would be quick and easy to quickly take off any make up and can be done so in less than two minutes, just always make sure that you have a cloth/flannel to hand.
For £2 it looks as though another trip to Primark is on the cards..
